Wedding season is rolling in and as the newest member of Stories, I have loads to learn! Over the last two weeks, I have had hands on experience shooting behind-the-scenes footage while handling different cameras and lenses. One of the key requirements of shooting clear and sharp footage is to have a pair of steady hands. It may seem easy but in the time that I have been here, I realise much practice is needed to move fast, act fast and capture quality footage.
I am also learning how to edit videos. One of the first things I learned in video editing is that we need to create a storyline and plan out where and when to place the footage. The video must draw the audience in and bring them on a journey without boring them. To be a good video editor, one must first be a good storyteller.
Fortunately, professional guidance is provided along the way. The past two weeks have been productive and I am looking forward to growing and learning more. I hope to be able to share more of my experiences with you in the future!
