Shafiqah & Syahirah are sisters, and they came over to our studio for a photography session because firstly, they love taking photos, and secondly, they wanted to capture the bond between mother and child, especially at this really cute age. These little baby girls look so alike that you would think they are twins! And if you are wondering who the older children are, they are the babies’ cousins. Everyday is a good day for photos!

Nowadays, we have been getting more enquiries for family portraits at our studio compared to outdoor locations. I think most people find it challenging to convince large families to go to a park for a family portrait, especially if it includes a newborn baby and elderly parents! With the weather being unpredictable too with rain or haze, a studio photography session is the easiest option! Jeremy and Ariel are personal friends of mine, so it was really lovely meeting Ariel’s parents and her siblings. Thank you for coming by our studio!

I am pretty sure every Asian parent would be envious of this little kid, with her huge, gorgeous blue eyes. She looks so much like a doll and her smile can turn any blue day into a sunny, happy one. It’s days and sessions like these that keep us energised and excited. We love candid moments like these too… they are all part of the fun, and make a session memorable.
They share a love for luxury sports cars, and how apt it was that the Sepang International Circuit was the background for their first meet up. Both Greg and Eunice are from Singapore, and when we met Eunice at an ibu event, she told us that she wanted portraits reflecting their life here in Malaysia. For expats living in Malaysia, I think it is a great idea to do a photo session at the country you are based at for a particular season of your life. In 2016, I photographed Justin and Nicole’s wedding at the Westin in Langkawi. I am honoured that they contacted me again to photograph their little dinosaur munchkin end of last year. It’s just so wonderful seeing families grow through the years. The quote above resonates with me and reminds me that life needs to be cherished daily. In a blink of an eye, our child is no longer a baby but a toddler, then they become a teenager…
So I love what I do because I get to capture this fleeting moment in time through my lenses. Memories are forever immortalised in that one frame.
