Debbie called me one day and said, “I want to surprise Eric for his birthday!” And so we organized a portrait session for the both of them. On Eric’s birthday, Debbie showed him the receipt for the portrait shoot. He was stunned! I thought it was such a sweet idea for a birthday present. It’s not just tangible (they get cool photos + a cool album!), but a whole new experience between the both of them. I’ll be photographing their pre-wedding in Pangkor Island next month, and I can’t wait for it! The both of you are super fun to be with, thanks for making the photography session a breeze!
I’ve known Michelle since I started working in KL and attending Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC). She was the person who brought me to cell group, who did an amazing job decorating my wedding venue, and has been a true friend through the years. Some time back, Alex and I started a social group called Rendezvous where single Christians can meet, mingle and get to know different people through various activities. Together with a few other friends, we organized a fun treasure hunt, and encouraged Michelle (then single!) to join in. She did, and that’s where she met Albert… who was in the same ‘group’ as her. After a few other outings on their own accord, they discovered that they kinda clicked, and soon after, started dating.
And now I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to take their portraits and also their wedding in August! Michelle and Albert love taking photos. They are natural at posing, and Michelle looks absolutely stunning in these photos. Part of Michelle’s interest is coordinating weddings, and she makes a great wedding planner! She has coordinated quite a number of weddings and I must say, is a really organized person. It’s no surprise then that she and Albert started planning their wedding waaaay ahead of time and by now, she has sorted out her venue, photographer, deco, cards, guest list, phew… Albert is really supportive of Michelle as she runs around coordinating not only her own wedding but others.
I really had a good time with the both of you, looking forward to August!!
This wasn’t the only portrait shoot we had… here’s another set of images, taken much earlier. You’ve seen the elegant side of Michelle, now you get to see her fun side! And of course, Albert’s pretty fun as well! ;)
This coming May, Warren and Amy will be tying the knot at Putrajaya Marriott. Last year, I photographed Warren and Amy’s proposal in Carcosa on a helicopter! What I really enjoy about photographing Warren and Amy are their endless ideas! Amy is full of new poses and she is a natural model. Doesn’t she look simply amazing? I can’t wait for your wedding! Looking forward to creating beautiful shots for the both of you. Here are some photos from the shoot. I am so excited to see that some of these photos are on your wedding website! The website and wedding invite looks wonderful.
Eugene and Stephanie found out about Wedding Story during our Pre-Wedding Promotion period in October. Stephanie is from Malacca (hip hip hurray!) and Eugene is Straits born Chinese (baba for those who have heard of that term). So coming from Malacca as another straits born Chinese, I felt an instant connection to the both of them. The Wedding Story team had a blast of a time with the both of them, even though it drizzled a little while we were in Lake Gardens. The engagement video will be out soon (by Kee Sitt and Sharon) so look out for it!
Update: Check the pre-wedding video here
After Lake Gardens, we traipsed to Heritage Hotel at the old KTM station. Thanks to Mr Lloyd Gan, we were granted access into this beautiful old hotel and the rooftop of it. Did you know that a lot of the structures in this building is original, built years and years ago? Even the lift has the original hand crank in it (including a metal cage to hold it in!). The place is so rustic, and a lot of conservation needs to go into keeping the building ‘alive’.
