Some weeks ago, we posted the photos from Wan Hong and Yee Mun’s pre-wedding shoot in Cameron Highlands. So, just because we could, we did a behind the scenes video to show you how much fun we had (so you can envy us), how we achieved the shots (with the help of ladders at times), and what challenges we faced.

The amazing lady behind all our videos is now unveiled! She is quite a quiet person by nature, but she can really surprise you! When I first met Chi Yin a few years ago, she was already working in the video production industry, but was new to content creation. What amazed me was her drive to shoot and edit her own travel videos on her own accord. When I made the decision to hire Chi Yin, it wasn’t her skills that attracted me (she was still learning!) but it was this passion and initiative that made me feel she has what it takes to succeed.
Now, she is one awesome videographer and kick-ass editor! I am in love with all the stuff she comes up with. Watch this video and get to know the lady behind the lens.
The amazing thing about videos is that you can capture the emotions as it happened… the voice that chokes as she says her vows, the tears falling down the groom’s cheek or a small smile that turns into a big guffaw. It’s so special. It brings you back to that exact moment as it happened, and it is just immortalised. Years later, as you look back on your wedding video or film, it will bring you back to that precise moment.
This is the magic of filmmaking that drew me to it in the first place when I studied Film and Television 18 years ago. Not just because I can create stories, but that it had the power to connect people. As photographers and videographers, we are behind the scenes a lot. We’re more comfortable behind the camera than being in front of it. But recently, we did a fun shoot when we were in Cameron Highlands. Four girls (my current full time team!) sharing fun facts about each other! We will be releasing these videos over time, but to kick it off, we’re starting with Jamie *just because I can muahaha*
So now you know your photographer better!

It’s about time we posted another behind the scenes video! If you are a regular blog visitor, you would have seen Andrew and Katrina’s photos from their 2 day pre-wedding shoot and wedding celebrations in KL and Phuket last year. I am so glad that they agreed to do a video testimonial for us after the wedding. I’ve recently started a collection of testimonials on our Facebook page, and will update our testimonial page on our website soon. On days when the going gets tough, it’s a great pick-me-up, reminding ourselves that what we do matter, and that we are on the right track.
It gives us great satisfaction knowing that we’ve made such a difference in someone’s life, capturing memories that can never be relived again except through photographs.
