Pre-Wedding & Engagement Portraits

Pre-Wedding Session at Rawa Island Resort: Rick & Su Mei

Sometime in September we had the privilege of strolling around this idyllic island with Rick and Su Mei. It had been raining in the days leading to their pre-wedding shoot but the weather here turned out fantastic. We stayed at Rawa Island Resort which is a truly serene location. There were plenty of picturesque spots around the island for two lovers to get lost in each others arms, and for photographers and videographers like us to to go giddy with excitement behind the lens.

Fully determined to explore every nook and cranny, our expedition with them involved a little bit of climbing at one point just to get to THE scenic point. Okay, maybe it was more than just a little. It was such a hot day when we did that! With the sun beating down our backs, I had a heat stroke and felt quite faint. Thank God for Chi Yin who took over immediately to do some shots at the top of the hill. I am also amazed at how Su Mei could climb those steep steps with her large gown. These photos and the video you see are truly a team effort on all sides!

The adventurous couple initially wanted to go overseas for a pre-wedding shoot but decided to book us and do it locally just before the MCO happened. So it’s a blessing that they chose Rawa Island Resort instead. Even though we can only do “Cuti-cuti Malaysia” this year, there are many beautiful locations like this to be found within Malaysia itself.

Then in true holiday fashion, we wrapped up the end of our shoot with a massage, fresh coconut, and well-deserved cocktails by the beach!

Pre-Wedding Shoot at KLCC Park: Wee Chong & Eri

While most couples go through the proposal stage first, Wee Chong and Eri did things the other way around. They met as colleagues in 2012 and only fell in love in December 2018. From there, things started progressing smoothly and very quickly too! They met each other’s parents three months later, found a home together in June, and had their ROM the following month. Even though they both knew they were serious about being committed to each other for life, Wee Chong didn’t want to miss the opportunity to make it special for them, so he officially proposed to Eri in August.

They still had a customary wedding ceremony to do after that, so that’s when they asked us to do a series of pre-wedding photos. They met us at KLCC park, equipped with not one… but THREE different outfits for the shoot! It was a hot and sunny day and the park was huge. But somehow we managed to cover quite a bit of ground and capture these moments with plenty of laughter and spontaneity in-between. More photos below.

Portraits at K’Seena House: Joseph & Jamie

I have been meaning to write this post for quite a number of months! Jamie, our team’s talented photographer finally said “I do” to the man of her dreams, Joseph. It was a meaningful wedding for me because I love these 2 people very much as we gotten quite close through the years. Joseph was our housemate for quite a long time until the wedding, and our children loved his playful nature. It was really an honour to be asked to photograph their portraits after the wedding ceremony ended. After the ceremony ended, the heavens opened and there were showers of blessing at the venue (actually, it felt like a storm) but thankfully, the rain stopped for us to take some these images before sunset.

K’Seena House is a very pretty place for pictures, and it was my first time there. I loved how Joseph’s corsage was replaced with a rope, since the both of them are avid rock climbers! What a joy it was for us to witness Joseph and Jamie’s wedding!
