Family Studio Portraits: Sam & Kristy

Kristy won a 30-minute studio family photoshoot with us when she participated in our Mother’s Day Contest in May 2020. 30 minutes might sound short for a family shoot, but it’s possible with a small family! It also helps to plan a little beforehand in order to make the most of any photo shoot. We enjoyed chatting with her leading up to the day to help plan the family’s complementing outfits. They eventually decided on matching denim pieces, accompanied with punch of mustard and one of Sam’s favourite shirts. Feeling comfortable in what you’re wearing is just as important as looking good. We think they nailed both!

The kids warmed up pretty quickly (especially with the range of toys we have at our studio) and we caught some of their cutest, cheekiest moments on camera!

A Christmas Family Portrait: The Lovatts

Christmas has arrived at the Stories studio! Debra Lovatt booked an early Christmas-themed family photo session and we had the best time with them. What do you get when you have a pregnant dancer and an enthusiastic partner? These gorgeous maternity shots of course! Jacques and Pei Shing were expecting their first child together – the youngest of siblings from this beautiful blended family. This photoshoot, like so many others, was special in its own way. For them, this marriage they now have together was like a second chance after going through many challenging life lessons from the past.

It was Jacques’ idea to have the photoshoot, and to be included in it as well. More photos below!

Louella Turns One!

A baby’s first birthday is so significant. In one year, a baby can learn how to roll over, sit up, crawl, communicate with sounds and simple words, eat soft foods, use their hands and fingers to hold, wave, and even clap. What’s not to celebrate! Don’t forget, it’s also a celebration for new parents – for making through their first year of parenthood!

Ian and Melanie made a family event out of Louella’s first birthday and brought their extended family to our studio for photos. They are such a photogenic family and we loved seeing how much this little lady was loved on that day! More photos below.
