Garden wedding at Thistle, Port Dickson: Gary & Ashley

Gary and Ashley have been together for 10 years. They know each other’s secrets, bad habits, strange quirks and a whole lot more. What initially started as platonic friendship in university with a common interest in clubbing, Jap food, good books, mahjong and cute cats led to something more. A little sparkle in the heart that made them pause to think… he/she’s the one.

Their wedding ceremony was held on the Thistle garden overlooking the Port Dickson sea. It was a breezy evening, a welcome respite from the heat of the earlier afternoon sun. William Lee who was officiant and emcee, did an excellent job at entertaining the guests, and had everyone holding their tummy in stitches, especially during the dinner. Their dessert table was delicious (we couldn’t resist sneaking some chocs into our mouths before dinner) and the photobooth backdrop was stunning.

Congratulations to the both of you, and thank you for a great experience in Port Dickson!

Rustic Pre-Wedding shoot with a VW Kombi: Eu Jin & Samantha

Her idea of a perfect day would be to cuddle in on a rainy day with a good book and a cup of latte. Ideally, next to the beach with the sound of waves breaking softly in the distance. His idea of a perfect day would be an early morning cappuccino followed by a good game of golf. And then enjoying a Rambo or Indiana Jones movie while dreaming of traveling to Africa one day and thinking of how to adopt a white tiger as a pet.

Together, they love to daydream about the future and talk about how to train their future white tiger pet. This is probably done over a Zinger burger meal at KFC! When they are not watching the sports channel on Astro, they are probably traveling the world seeing as much as they possibly can!

What a cute couple Eu Jin and Samatha are. Jamie and I truly enjoyed photographing their pre-wedding shots, and I am sure Chi Yin enjoyed herself too while shooting the behind the scenes video that you can see here. On the day of the shoot, it was raining at Sekeping Tenggiri and we weren’t sure if it would be raining too at UPM. But we took the risk and it was a perfect day which ended in a gorgeous sunset.

Smurfette, our resident VW kombi made an appearance too at the shoot! I am glad that I managed to drive it without any problems! Was worried about driving this manual car that has absolutely ZERO power steering. But all was good, and we had an awesome time.

Eu Jin and Sam, can’t wait for the wedding!

Beach wedding at Westin, Langkawi: Jase & Alicia

Jase and Alicia live in South Australia. Over Skype, I got to know them before the wedding, and found out that they met each other when they were just 18. Nine years later, Jase proposed on Mystery Island, Vanuatu during a cruise to the South Pacific. Since Jase is a jeweller, he designed Alicia’s wedding and engagement ring. The bonbonerie candles were made by the groom’s sister and place settings made by Jase and Alicia themselves. I love Alicia’s custom made gown and her vintage hairpiece. The Westin, Langkawi became the gorgeous backdrop for their wedding. It was truly a beautiful beach wedding set against the Andaman sea. I never get tired of beach weddings!

Tenth Anniversary Family Portraits: Paul & Yin Huei

It’s been months since I took these photos of Paul, Yin Huei and their cute little family as a celebration for their 10th wedding anniversary. The children have grown but I thought it’d still be nice to share the images from our session together at Lake Gardens. Yin Huei, being creative, brought along a mirror for me to come up with different types of shots! She was also very comfortable in climbing trees like the one below, including reading old love letters from Paul! I thought it was really sweet of her.

Here’s what Yin Huei had to say about the shoot:

I wanted this photo shoot to mark this important milestone in our lives. We have come so far in this journey together, grown stronger together and been blessed by the most amazing children. I want us to be able to reflect on this moment many many years ahead and be warmed by this beautiful memory.

And I want to dedicate this to my husband and my children:
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride

So I love you because I know no other way.”

Lego Themed Wedding: Adrian & Jessica

When you love Lego as much as Adrian and Jessica, you’ll be prepared to sacrifice a lot of your free time before the wedding putting it together. At least for Jessica anyway, as I am not too sure how much time Adrian had in between flights as a pilot! I am seriously not a patient person, so doing something like this would make me stressed! My favourites are the ring ‘pillow’, Lego cupcakes and dinner cake, and even the wedding invite.

Adrian and Jessica had their wedding ceremony at Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside. The ceremony was conducted by their pastor from Metro Tabernacle Church. It was a hot, sunny day, but it was a sweet ceremony shared between family and friends. I love how Adrian always has this perpetual grin on his face, always smiling and good natured.

Congratulations to the both of you! I hope you have a nice showcase in your house to display your entire Lego collection!
