Last month, we moved to our new premises at Oval Damansara in TTDI. Though our unit is still not completely done up yet (renovations are still ongoing for phase 2!), at least we have a functioning space that we can work in for the moment. I am glad to have a natural light studio space that we can do shoots in. Lau and Wen Yi’s family were the first to visit our humble studio! I had a great time with their two little boys. It was a special day because their little one stood up for the first time that day without assistance! What a memorable shoot.
Every woman deserves to feel good about themselves. They deserve to feel confident and beautiful despite what they perceive about their physical looks. I truly believe every woman has this strength and inner beauty. Sometimes it could be hidden under layers of insecurity, but no woman should ever have anyone tell her that she is unworthy of feeling beautiful. The mountains and valleys of your life only add character to who you are, it never takes it away from you.
And I am so happy that I can photograph someone’s portraits, as they are. Beautiful, just like Chong’en.
It’s always a joy to capture moments for families. I enjoy being a part of their day, even if it was for an hour. It gives me a glimpse into their lives and how much joy a little baby brings to a family. Indeed, children are a blessing from the Lord!
The first few months of your child’s life will fly by so quickly. First, you have a scrawny looking newborn baby, then a cute smiley infant, and slowly, a speedy Gonzales baby, and soon, a zippy toddler who just grabs at anything and runs after everything! I love seeing that transition. And a 1st year birthday is always a good occasion to celebrate the baby who has turned your world upside down.
I first met Clement at one of the Bloom Workshops I had conducted in the past. He is an avid photographer himself, and like many parents who love photography, are often not in the photos themselves! He told me that every 2 years, they will do a professional photo shoot with their family. I think it’s a great idea to capture moments with the children as they grow through the years. The other thing that is special too is that his relationship with his wife started when they were just teenagers since they got to know each other when they were 15.
Here are some of my favourite moments from our 1 hour shoot together recently.
Andrew and Desiree are one of those couples who instantly make the ‘friend’ list the moment you meet them. They’re friendly, warm, and thoughtful. After our pre-wedding shoot, they even gave us a box of chocolates and a hand-written card, which really made our day! We photographed their wedding at Pulai Springs Resort, JB recently but before we share those images, here are some of the photos from their pre-wedding shoot.
