Ming Han, one of the Mings behind Malaysia’s famous YouTube channel, The Ming Thing is now hitched (check out #mingsubingsu)! This is one of our most emotional weddings ever. There were so many tears shed at this wedding, it made us feel like crying too! Interestingly, Su Yen used to be an intern at Integricity years ago… she wasn’t involved in photography or video, but she was doing graphic design for the digital team. Su Yen, as a talented make up artist in the industry has also worked together with us on a few projects. And funnily, a few months ago, I met Ming Han for the first time when they rented our house for a Ming Thing shoot. So we are glad to be part of their amazing wedding day.
Su Yen met Ming Han in church but their communication with each other was limited to mostly work-related stuff. They were both not each other’s “type” but God had other plans in store for them! It wasn’t until they found comfort in each other while going through rough patches that they realised there could still be hope and love with the right person.
Working in the entertainment industry which is so people-oriented has it challenges. Ming Han credits Su Yen for his ability to be the best he can be because of Su Yen’s living example of care, patience and grace, which has rubbed off on him too. It is endearing to hear them speak of each other because it is filled with so much love and respect. Congratulations, Ming Han & Su Yen… the journey ahead is going to be really beautiful yet filled with challenges. Ultimately, God is the one who will hold your hands as you walk along this path together. Lots of love from all of us.

When we first received the enquiry from Ming Li for a family portrait session, we freaked out just a little bit. It wasn’t because she had weird family members or queer requests… it was because the photo shoot was for 27 persons and they wanted it in our humble little studio! After some discussion, the team decided to take up the challenge and even held a mock shoot with as many people from the office as we could gather to ensure we could fit everyone in comfortably for the group shot.
One year ago, we were contacted to photograph Datuk Wira SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin’s Hari Raya family portraits, and I was pleased to hear that we were asked to do it again this year! What an honour for us to be invited back again to their family home. This time, Jamie took these portraits, so it was nice to have a fresh pair of eyes to the same location. Have a look at a few of last year’s photos here! Naturally, not only did we get to wear our wonderful baju raya, we also got to enjoy delicious kuih and rendang Raya. It’s a great idea to do a yearly family portrait, as you can see the growth of the family just within a year. We encourage everyone to make the idea of documenting your family a priority in your life. This is after all, a moment in history, no matter how trivial some of you might think it is. One day, your kids will look back at these images and remember…
When Poornima first met Puvan, she barely glanced at him. To her, he was just a typical, carefree teenage boy. It was only after 4 years of being batchmates in college did his true heart reveal itself to her. At this point, she kind of felt that he was the one for her, but they were studying in India, and after coming back to Malaysia, they were working in different states. The lack of time together and long distance proved to be much more of a challenge than they thought and it made them grow apart.
But during that 1.5 years apart, their hearts were still ‘together’ which lead to the clarity of their minds… that they will never find a better companion apart from each other. So they broke up as kids, but got back together as adults. Adults who are ready to move on to a better phase of life.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us, Puvan and Poornima, including the Ponnurukku ceremony. What I enjoyed most about your wedding was seeing some of our older clients there at the wedding, and not to forget, jumping out of my car in the middle of Brickfields traffic to photograph your bridal car that broke down. Thank God everything went well after that! Looking forward to our years of friendship! May you be filled with beautiful memories from these images years from now.
