I know I am two weeks behind this post, but hey, as they say, “Better late than never”. So here’s some Christmas themed portraits of this beautiful Italian family photographed in our studio. We’re so glad to have an abundance of props that we can whip out if needed! I love how multicultural Malaysia is… yet at the same time, we have an abundance of different nationalities passing through our doors. To date, we have photographed people from all continents of the world except for Antartica. :)
We make each other laugh even during the hardest moments.
Nicolas and Cassandra’s motto is something that every married couple needs to adopt. Laughter is definitely a key ingredient to a happy relationship. On the wedding day, it is easy to laugh, enjoy every moment but the key to marriage longevity is to keep on laughing through the years. I have seen so many couples who allow the hardship and challenges of life rob them of their joy. Parenting is one major area where many couples focus so much on their children that they forget each other.
It is a good reminder to myself too to relax, loosen up and enjoy my 12 year marriage to Alex. Thank you, Nic and Cassandra for your laughter, friendship and wisdom.
If you haven’t read their story, you can do so here.
I have to admit, I haven’t really made the time to prep many of the images that the team has shot for blog posts. As the key person who handles our social media postings, I need to buck up a bit more to get things going. Most of my time has been spent on meeting potential business partners / clients, shoots, replying emails, helping coordinate other shoots, going for my BNI meetings, and then being a mother. So now that I’ve prepped and sent my kid off to school, I have time before my next meeting for a blog post!
Nicolas & Cassandra were wed recently in August, and we are planning to share their images from their wedding on our blog soon. But I wanted to first share their casual 2 hour pre-wedding session that was photographed by Jennifer. It was a really easy going session as the shoot was held at the place where they met… Methodist College KL. I love how much laughter these 2 share between the both of them. You certainly need huge amounts of laughter and fun to carry you through life as a couple!
From Melbourne to KL to Colombo and back…
It was on the beautiful grounds of Monash University that their love story started… Praveena was an undergraduate who recently transferred from Malaysia to Melbourne, Australia. Her friends were watching a match at the Farrer Hall common room and invited her to join them. Despite her lack of interest, she happily came down for the nachos, cheesecake, and other snacks.
Nilshan, on the other hand, had been living in Melbourne for over a year by then, and was also studying his undergraduate degree at Monash. Two of his friends lived at Farrer Hall and invited him to watch the match there. Little did the two love birds know that this would be the first time they laid eyes on each other.
Praveena and Nilshan continued to bump into each other through mutual friends, whether it was a restaurant outing, group trip, night out or Sunday mass. Two years later, Nilshan asked Praveena out on their first date. Their romance unfolded over dinner and a mutual love of spicy food… until the rest was history.

Last year, we participated at the 9th Private International School Fair in Midvalley and met Yuki there at our booth. We had a great time just chatting and connecting and on that day itself, he booked a photography session with us. This really cute Japanese family loves Malaysia so much, they are considering making this their 2nd home under the Malaysian My Second Home program! It always amazes me when I meet expats who love Malaysia so much they want to make it their home. Despite the challenges our nation faces, I am still proud to be Malaysian. This is a place where many opportunities abound.
Here are some of my favourites from Yuki and Aki’s session.
