Pre-Wedding: Kit Mah & Cindy

It was a pleasure to photograph Kit Mah and Cindy’s pre-wedding photos. When Kit Mah and Cindy first met online, they approached each other to chat about work, health, and wellness. As they got to know each other more, Kit Mah was impressed by how Cindy was such a dedicated and highly disciplined person. Kit Mah found many common things in them, and they shared many of the same values. One day, Cindy was leaving for a trip to Indonesia, and Kit Mah was speaking at the Integrative Medicine Conference 2019 for the first time. Despite the packed schedule, Kit Mah still had Cindy in mind and wished her a safe flight. Cindy was touched by how thoughtful he was. That was one of the sweetest memories for both of them. They continued building the relationship, having so much to share with each other, and the time together was never enough. The connection was strong and special. Kit Mah has even created a book to document their love journey together.

Building Family Heirlooms

This upcoming festive season is a great excuse to do family portraits! The best part is seeing the children grow up through the years. I’ve photographed this Lee family many times, from the time the children were babies. We had so much fun recreating old poses in their grandparents’ home. All you have to do is to find an old image, go to the same location and then place people at the same spot for an updated photograph! It’s really easy and quite fun! One day, they will look back again and remember all the happy moments they shared as a family.

We are not just photographers, we are heirloom builders.

Family Portraits: Roy & Pek Yee

Seven years ago, we photographed Roy and Pek Yee’s wedding in Kuala Lumpur. The couple had met in Shanghai and settled there as newlyweds. Early this year, when they were back for Chinese New Year, we got to photograph them again and this time – with an additional family member! Leah is the cutest little lady you ever did meet. We did a series of casual “at home” portraits at St Regis Residences (their “home” for the holiday) and Pek Yee’s sister joined in as well.

These kind of casual family shots are some of our favourites. Most of the time, its just us capturing all the little real moments that happen between husband and wife, mother and child, father and child, or other family members. You look at the photos and remember how soft your child’s skin feels against your cheek, how her hair curls perfectly at the ends, and how her trusting little eyes dance when they look into yours. You remember how beautiful your wife looks when she’s cuddling the children, or how incredibly happy you felt being held in your husband’s arms. These photos are like time capsules of memories and feelings that only you have the privilege of fully enjoying, and we absolutely love capturing them for you. More photos below!

Family Portraits: Janeen’s Graduation

Janeen recently graduated with a doctorate and wanted to commemorate her achievement with a family photo shoot. We had the photo session at her parents’ lovely garden in Bukit Jalil and had her nephews and in-laws join in too. We did two kinds of shots: a series with Janeen in her graduation gown and then a series of casual group shots and individual portraits. Janeen’s nephew also graduated – from kindergarten! So it was a double celebration. :)

Family Portraits: Dominic & Lyn

Lyn wanted images that are natural, engaging and candid for her family photos. She mentioned to us that her daughter would look unnatural when posing for the camera, so she was hoping that we could catch her playful nature at the park. Well, good news is that children do look their best when they are having fun! We try to make each family session as fun as possible. We encourage you to think of games and activities to do during a photo session so that you come prepared.

Here’s some of our favourites during this session. And I think Lyn’s daughter looks natural even in the posed shots, don’t you think?
