Razin Turns One: Family Portraits with Afiq & Sabrina

Whenever we plan family photos sessions with parents of young children, we like to ask them to describe their child / children. Even at the age of one and younger, a child’s personality traits start to show here and there. It’s always so nice to hear parents marvel at their children even before their kids say their first words! Every little behaviour or quirk is to be appreciated.

Afiq and Sabrina described their son as a very observant baby who takes time to assess new people and his new surroundings. He LOVES animals… especially elephants, balls, shiny gold things, and playing peek-a-boo! So of course, we had to give Razin a birthday setup that would bring out his best smile and twinkly curious eyes. His parents brought along some of their own props and it all came together so nicely!

Sherlyn’s Birthday Bash at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan

What better way to celebrate life than with good friends and a little bit of glamour? Okay, maybe a lot of glamour! This gorgeous setup was the result of a fantastic collaboration with our friends from SupaDupaCircus, I Heart Party, Ynghuey Cake Design, Magician Charls, and De.Wan 1958 – a restaurant and event space by none other than Chef Wan.

Elroy from SupaDupaCircus made a dazzling pair of gold balloon wings for the birthday lady, and everyone who arrived received a fancy racing headpiece for the party. The I Heart Party team did such a fantastic job with the décor that almost everywhere you looked became a great backdrop for fun photographs!

If you love throwing parties just like Sherlyn’s, we’re offering a package deal with this amazing team. Have a look at the photos below and get in touch with us to plan.

Eric & Charlotte’s Family Portraits & Ethan’s First Cake Smash

It’s no secret that “Baby shark” is a big hit in this family. I mean, just check out Ethan’s cake!

Eric and Charlotte threw a cosy 1st year birthday party for him just with the family – grandparents and aunt included. These fun parents have been the best of friends for 18 years and spent seven of those years as husband and wife. Somewhere alone the way, Emma and Ethan came along. Gotta love how serious Emma is about cake in the photo above. Now, that’s a little lady who knows what she wants!

“Life with kids can be really challenging but they brought us so much joy too,” Charlotte told us. “They are growing up too fast and we hope to capture some precious moments with the little ones before they are not so little anymore.”

You’re right about that Charlotte! We’re so glad we get to be the ones who capture these moments for you and your family. Continue Reading

A Magical Proposal at The Grounds, Kuala Lumpur: Ferguson & Daphne

Who doesn’t love a good surprise! Ferguson WOWed his bride-to-be Daphne with an elaborate surprise proposal at The Grounds, KL and invited close family and friends to witness the moment. We’re just in LOVE with the amount of detail and effort put into making this space magical and oh-so-romantic! It had really thoughtful personal touches too, with little pinned up photos documenting their relationship through the years.

It warms our hearts to see that small and meaningful gatherings with loved ones are still very much a part of life. Wishing you a wonderful wedding and marriage ahead Ferguson and Daphne, congratulations!

It’s already December! Just because we’re social distancing, doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate this magical holiday season with a small party at home. :) It’s a good opportunity to end the year well and make it special for our family and loved ones. To make sure we’re equipped with some home party decor styling tips, we had a chat with the talented event stylist Alice Tan from iheartparty. If you’re planning to host a small party soon, or even if its just for your family, here are five tips to help you get started.

1. I’m hosting a small party at my home and I would like to decorate the place really well. Where do I begin and what does the process look like?

This is where the fun begins! You can start by choosing a theme and colour palette. Easy tip, go on to Pinterest and look for some inspiration or use a colour palatte tool like Cooler to help you find a suitable palette. Then create a budget so that you don’t overspend. Don’t feel discouraged if you have a limited budget to work with. There’s always a creative solution for party decorating!
