They came all the way from Mangalore, India to Malaysia for a holiday, and what better way to remember this trip than to organise a post-wedding photo shoot with us! It was also to celebrate Rakshita’s birthday, which I thought was such a nice gift! Nithin and Rakshita are such naturals in front of the camera, you would have thought that they were actors (In real life, Nithin’s a doctor!). I hope we made your trip very memorable, and please do come back to visit again one day. If I ever visit Mangalore, expect a call or email from me too! :)
Christmas is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to blast Christmas music in the studio, and wear reindeer ears! For my daughter who is turning 3, it’s also a reminder that her birthday is coming up (2 weeks short of Christmas!). We’re bringing back last year’s Christmas promotion for all our lifestyle portrait shoots.
Book any one hour family portrait session, photograph it this November, and get a set of customised Christmas postcards for free! (But hurry, because there are limited weekend slots!)
OR… if you are looking for an early Christmas gift for a friend, how about purchasing a half hour studio session for him/her? Usual rate is RM400 but it is now at a discounted rate of RM300. GST charges apply. Purchase the gift pack here.

We felt welcomed, just like family. Ever since the day I met Evonne, we just clicked. It’s one of those weddings that you’ll remember for a very long time. When I look at Daniel and Evonne, I am reminded that marriage is a covenant of love, strongly bonded together not just by their love for one another, but also by their love for God. I am reminded that kindness is a virtue we should always have… because it goes a long way in making other people feel like a friend and not just a vendor. I am also reminded that we sometimes have to make selfless decisions and think of others even though most people’s instinct would be to do everything their own way, just because it’s ‘their wedding’.
Daniel and Evonne’s wedding was held on the lush gardens of Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu, overlooking the sea. Gorgeous floral arches and lots of little finishing touches by the Mint Events & Soirees’ team made this wedding so pretty to look at, and totally instagram-worthy. When Jamie and I flew over from KL to KK, we were worried about the haze, but thank God it was a great, clear day! (and I got sunburnt!).
This wedding was also quite emotional because Evonne made it a point to leave two empty seats for her sister Elaine and boyfriend Emiel who passed away in the MH17 crash over Ukraine last year. Daniel and Evonne, thank you for giving us this privilege of capturing moments for you. Lots of love and hugs from Jamie and I.
It is in every mother’s heart that their children will grow up to be wonderful adults, living lives that are full, not just of happiness but one filled with purpose. I pray that as Kyle turns one (and celebrates many more years ahead!), he will be a man that loves God fiercely, has a soft heart towards people, is caring and responsible. I love you, my little munchkin!
Even though you will not be able to remember the celebration we had for your first birthday, these images will remind you in years to come that you are dearly loved by so many people. It will remind us how much you love balloons (which was the source of inspiration for this theme), and it will bring to mind that there is so much adventure waiting in life ahead of you.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We went everywhere. From the beach to the garden and also the city, Andrew and Katrina’s pre-wedding shoot was as epic as their wedding. We recently completed a 3 week wedding marathon with this couple but more on that later! I’m really glad we had the opportunity to be part of this amazing wedding and got to know this really warm and friendly couple. From the start, we were treated like friends instead of vendors. It just feels as if you’ve journeyed along with long-lost friends.
It was 9 years ago that Andrew and Katrina met each other but unfortunately, they were both attached at that time. But as fate would have it, 5 years ago, they bumped into each other at a club. It was already closing time, and the lights had come on. At the corner of his eye, Andrew spotted Katrina as she was being whisked out of the club. He quickly rushed to her and grabbed her by the hand.
Katrina turned, about to land a huge punch on this creep who dared to hold her hand. But much to her delight, it was Andrew… who told her to call him the next day.
The next day came but the call never came through. On the second day, Andrew ‘poked’ her on Facebook, and Katrina called him back… somehow she couldn’t remember meeting him at the club! (Andrew claims she was really drunk).
And so a beautiful journey started as #katandrew.
