A Growing Family: Marek & Andrea

The last time the Zatlukals were at the studio, Stella was a wee little baby. The time before that, Eliska was a tiny toddler. How lovely it is to grow with this family through the years! They rock cosy  chequered prints and candid moments so well. As always, with young children, we start the photo session with a few warm up activities and candid shots. There’s plenty to choose from our toy corner, but we like to bring things out slowly. This keeps the experience exciting for young kids. Remember, even a 30-minute photoshoot can feel like forever in the eyes of a child!

Once everyone has gotten comfortable with the environment and our cameras, its time to move around the studio and try different family arrangements in the photos. Sometimes its a complete circus in there. Other times, more manageable. But at all times… we get the shots we need and the ones you love!

Check out the rest of their family portraits below and click here to Eliska when she was this tiny too.

A Chinese New Year Themed Family Portrait: Phillip & Tze Tan

Phillip and Tze Yan came to our studio around Chinese New Year, mainly for portraits of their children and candid family moments. After speaking with them prior to the shoot, we all decided to also include a few CNY-themed photos too! The props were all provided by us, and boy did the kids have fun with them! Josie had a little too much perhaps – judging from her brother’s expressions in the third photo!

Onwards to family portraits. Our studio is designed for families with young kids. So whenever we have children around, photoshoots usually start with play time! Bubbles are always a hit with kids and warms them up to the camera and our photographers really quickly. Before we knew it, just the cutest family moments were happening right before our eyes. A few clicks later… and this was the result!

We look forward to capturing photos for more families this year. Feel free to suggest a fun theme and bring your outfits!

Family Portraits at Home: Wai Keong & Pauline

Before Anne flew off to study, her parents called for one last family portrait session at home. We took plenty of photos in all their favourite spaces around the house, and we caught some candid moments too.

With tight international travel restrictions now, summer break trips back home won’t be as frequent for students like Anne. These photographs will be all the more precious, filled with memories of when everyone could be together.

Family Studio Portraits: Sam & Kristy

Kristy won a 30-minute studio family photoshoot with us when she participated in our Mother’s Day Contest in May 2020. 30 minutes might sound short for a family shoot, but it’s possible with a small family! It also helps to plan a little beforehand in order to make the most of any photo shoot. We enjoyed chatting with her leading up to the day to help plan the family’s complementing outfits. They eventually decided on matching denim pieces, accompanied with punch of mustard and one of Sam’s favourite shirts. Feeling comfortable in what you’re wearing is just as important as looking good. We think they nailed both!

The kids warmed up pretty quickly (especially with the range of toys we have at our studio) and we caught some of their cutest, cheekiest moments on camera!

Outdoor Family Portraits at Tiarasa Escapes: Evan & Jasmine

We captured SO many fun moments with Jasmine’s side of the family while they were on holiday at Tiarasa Escapes Glamping Resort! It was a great time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and really quite a nice change of scenery for us. :)

Ever since Evan and Jasmine had their first child, we’ve had the pleasure of being their family photographer through the years. There was even a time when their sister-in-law Careen, had lost all her own family photos on her phone after a trip due to technical issues. So glad we had photos to replace what she had lost!

More photos of this fun loving family below.
