Outdoor Family Portraits at Taman Rimba Kiara: Joe Yee & Wen Tjin

Taman Rimba Kiara is one of our favourite locations for outdoor photoshoots. It’s near our studio, there’s free parking, and good eateries around the area for families to head to after the shoot. Joe Yee and Wen Tjin wanted a photo shoot with the whole family since having their second child. Joe Yee’s mom and sister and her family joined too. We arrived at 8am to catch the best light and cool weather. They were such a wonderful family, and their boys were like little gentlemen! Everyone wanted a photo with the new baby cousin / sibling / nephew of course.

Portraits with the Extended Family: Alex & Wern Lu

A family portrait session is the perfect reason to gather the entire family in one place. After all, if you’re going to be taking photos of your family to print up and place around your household, you might as well invite the others to join in. Grandparents love having photos like these to cherish their kids and grandkids. Very often, the house can feel quite empty for them after everyone has grown up and moved out.

So here are two wonderful ways to include your extended family and the grandparents into your photoshoot – with some colour coordination.

A Little Family Photoshoot: Chun Seong & Xiao Shi

Chun Seong and Xiao Shi welcomed their first child to the world last September. By the time we met them, baby Zi Yue was a healthy 4-month old baby. Old enough to roll on her tummy and smile for the camera too! She has the cutest expressions and loves being bounced up and down on her mummy’s lap. More photos below.

Celebrating Jade’s 18th Birthday

We loved being a part of this intimate birthday celebration for a very special young lady. Despite the limitations on parties, Jade still had a wonderful 18th birthday to remember because she was surrounded by those who love her most. There was cake, balloons, sparkles, presents, and lots of joy that day. Oh to be 18 again! Happy birthday Jade!

Raya Family Portraits: Hamzah Alang Shah & Nadia Nasimuddin

On the second day of Raya we were invited to Nadia Nasimuddin’s home for another round of family photos, and boy has her family grown! This would be baby Tia’s first Raya family portrait with the family. We did a few variations – especially since they all had new outfits from the previous day with the bigger family, and made sure to capture one with Puan Sri Zaleha Ismail and her grandchildren!
