Studio Family Portraits: Xeng Tjun & Chloe

We took photographs of this family knowing that Chloe’s mother was battling an illness. They wanted photos to make the most of every moment and to set up her photo wall at home too. It was so beautiful to see how resilient this family is. Despite difficult challenges they face behind the scenes, their love is strong… and their joy, so contagious.

It is moments like these that keep us doing what we do as photographers. This job is more than art. It’s more than a job. It’s a true privilege and honour to be the storyteller who captures life’s ever-fleeting moments for families like Chloe’s… and yours. After all, we only have one family and one life to live. Let’s make every moment with them count!

Family Portraits at Home: Wai Keong & Pauline

Before Anne flew off to study, her parents called for one last family portrait session at home. We took plenty of photos in all their favourite spaces around the house, and we caught some candid moments too.

With tight international travel restrictions now, summer break trips back home won’t be as frequent for students like Anne. These photographs will be all the more precious, filled with memories of when everyone could be together.

Sherlyn’s Birthday Bash at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan

What better way to celebrate life than with good friends and a little bit of glamour? Okay, maybe a lot of glamour! This gorgeous setup was the result of a fantastic collaboration with our friends from SupaDupaCircus, I Heart Party, Ynghuey Cake Design, Magician Charls, and De.Wan 1958 – a restaurant and event space by none other than Chef Wan.

Elroy from SupaDupaCircus made a dazzling pair of gold balloon wings for the birthday lady, and everyone who arrived received a fancy racing headpiece for the party. The I Heart Party team did such a fantastic job with the décor that almost everywhere you looked became a great backdrop for fun photographs!

If you love throwing parties just like Sherlyn’s, we’re offering a package deal with this amazing team. Have a look at the photos below and get in touch with us to plan.

How to Style Your Photo Wall: Interior Designing Tips by Clover Buildcon

If you’re a visual person, you probably know that your environment can affect your mood and daily productivity levels. It is also likely that you place importance in using your home to channel your personality and individuality. If so, you don’t need a huge budget. This can be communicated through home decoration using your own family photos! Hanging pictures is a balancing act of spacing, colour, and proportion. The way a photo is displayed can be significant and transformative not only to the space it is in, but it can further express the feelings in the photograph itself.

Here are a few brilliant tips by our friends at Clover Buildcon Interior Design on how you can use personal photos or artwork to show off your most precious moments in a stylish way!

Which wall should you choose?

Choosing the right wall is essential. Not all walls can be used to display photographs. When we place photographs in the wrong place, it can look odd and confusing. So picking the right wall to feature is fundamental, don’t just pick one randomly. The wall you choose to highlight should ideally be a space where your eye is first drawn towards when you enter the room. Which wall is that?

Also, photographs look best when they are placed on a solid wall without doors or windows. Some common examples are the walls behind sofas and beds. Avoid placing your photographs on walls where there is too much competition for attention or walls that are too small. When we place photographs on the right walls, it creates an interior that adds excitement and importance to the space.

Welcoming Baby Marcel: Newborn & Family Portraits with Jacques & Pei Shing

It’s really nice whenever expecting parents opt for our Heirloom package for their newborn. We get to journey with them through one of their most significant moments in life – documenting life as they await the arrival of their newborn child and then become new parents to whole new person. Jacques and Pei Shing did their maternity shoot with us and just in November, we went over to their home to capture these moments with their little family. This was also a chance for them to have a few portraits of their daughter, a spirited dancer!  Just like mommy!
